Can you be happy and Sad at the same time?

Yes! Yesterday we celebrated the life or Dennis Dickey. He was a son, brother, brother-in-law, husband, father, father-in-law, cousin, preacher, chaplain, and so much more. He came to us sometime in 2004 and has preached the word, served, visited, led prayers ever since. What a legacy! Nothing mentioned at the memorial service yesterday surprised us. We have seen his dedication and faithfulness to the Lord every day. Our hearts cry out to the Lord to fill his family and the church family with peace and comfort. We will miss him, however, we take great comfort in knowing we will meet again!

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

We will endeavor to search for someone who can come "fill your shoes", though it is going to be tough.
